VEHICULAR EMISSIONS AND THE LOCATION OF HIGHWAYS IN URBAN AREAS

A SUMMARIZATION IS MADE OF PRESENT KNOWLEDGE OF THE EFFECTS OF VEHICULAR AIR POLLUTION ON HEALTH TO INDICATE WHAT RESEARCH STILL NEEDS TO BE DONE BEFORE SPECIFIC CONCLUSIONS CAN BE DRAWN, AND TO SHOW WHAT STEPS PLANNERS CAN TAKE TO ALLEVIATE THIS GROWING PROBLEM.
