Geophysics: Looking Beneath the Surface
This article briefly reviews some of the geophysical methods most useful in transportation subsurface investigations. Advantages of geophysics are that it is conducted noninvasively, produces high-resolution data, and delivers results within one hour to a few weeks. Geophysical methods and their interpretation can save time and money on transportation projects.
