THE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF BUS STATIONS

THE DEVELOPMENT IS DISCUSSED OF BUS STATIONS AS POSSIBLE FUTURE TRANSPORTATION TERMINALS AND AS A USEFUL, ALTHOUGH EXPENSIVE, MEANS OF REPLACING BUS STOPS ON MAIN STREETS WHERE POSSIBLE. THEY WOULD ALSO PROVIDE IMPROVED INTERCHANGE AND SHELTER FACILITIES. BUS STATION LAYOUTS IN HAMBURG, SUNDERLAND, PRESTON, AND LONDON ARE DESCRIBED TOGETHER WITH THE PLANNING STANDARDS FOR BUS STATIONS ADOPTED IN MUNICH. /TRRL/
