Buried Pipeline Optimization in Landslide Area

This paper describes how it is difficult to avoid landslides for the buried pipeline in the West-East gas transmission project because of the influence of the topography, the expense and other factors. The stability of landslide affects of long-term security of the pipeline. Based on the deformation analysis of a landslide, the pipeline stress was studied by using the FlAC3D under the landslide thrusting force. This force changed the pipeline buried depth, position and dip between pipe axis, landslide sliding direction and established a different combination by using the Orthogonal Experiment. The stress characteristics of the pipeline were well understood. According to the shear stress, the buried pipeline optimization scheme was proposed, the depth was 4m, the position was 0m and the dip was 30 degrees. This paper has some values for the pipeline construction in landslide area.
