Aeriel advancement
In its work to upgrade New York City's Roosevelt Island Tram so that it would be able to operate for at least another 30 years, an international design team used detailed software models and carefully analyzed hundreds of load case combinations to avoid unnecessary structural reinforcements and create lightweight support elements critical to the improved systems.
