Network Coding Scheme for Enhanced Data Throughput in VANET
Recently, research about applying network coding technology to network communications has been studied for efficient resource allocation, throughput improvement, and minimum of transmission error in multimedia stream application services for providing multimedia data of high quality. Network coding is a novel type of information delivery technology for improving network throughput utilizing communication resource efficiently in communication network, especially for achieving maximum throughput in multicasting network providing multimedia services. In order to provide multimedia data of high quality in a VANET environment, broadcast is used to transmit information among moving vehicles. In this paper, Network Coding is used in wireless communication for reducing the network overhead and enhancing the throughput of the network. XOR based Buffer Coding is a novel Network Coding based on the RTS/CTS based handshaking method.
