13th Annual CE News Salary Survey
This article reports results from the 13th Annual CE News Salary Survey for civil engineers. Findings from the survey showed that despite the continuing precarious economic situation, compensation for civil engineers is beginning to improve. Median salaries rose at most levels of experience and for most job titles. However, respondents in 2011 reported more furloughs, pay cuts, salary freezes and decreased bonuses in general than in past years. Tables included in the article present compensation by years of experience, compensation by position/title, and compensation cuts by sector.
