THE MEDICAL PROBLEMS ADDRESSED IN SEPARATE PAPERS ARE CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE, NEUROLOGICAL CONDITIONS, EMOTIONAL DISORDERS, VISUAL PROBLEMS, AND THE ROLE OF ALCOHOL. PARTICULAR EMPHASIS IS PLACED ON THE STATUS AND AUTHORITY OF MEDICAL ADVISORY BOARDS, STANDARDIZATION OF PROCEDURES, SPECIFICATION OF CRITERIA FOR RESTRICTING OR DENYING THE USE OF A LICENSE, AND RELATIONS BETWEEN INDIVIDUAL PHYSICIANS AND STATE MEDICAL AND LICENSING AGENCIES.
