MAGNETIC SUSPENSION AND GUIDANCE OF HIGH SPEED VEHICLES
A 12-month research project into superconducting magnetic suspensions was begun in September 1971, jointly undertaken by the Cranfield Institute of Technology and the University of Warwick. Several vehicle and track designs were produced and evaluated for capital and operating costs on the basis of 2,500 10,000 and 30,000 passengers per day.
