PLANNING AIRPORT SNOW AND ICE REMOVAL USING OPERATIONS RESEARCH TECHNIQUES

AN ANALYTIC APPROACH WAS USED TO DETERMINE QUANTITATIVE DESCRIPTIONS AND DEFINITIONS OF THOSE FACTORS WHICH AFFECT THE DESIGN'S USE OF SYSTEMS FOR THE REMOVAL OF SNOW AND ICE FROM AIRPORT SURFACES. THE LEVEL OF SERVICE AN AIRPORT IS ECONOMICALLY JUSTIFIED IN GIVING TO USERS IS INVESTIGATED ALONG WITH EQUIPMENT AND METHODS OF SNOW REMOVAL. /AUTHOR/
