DATA COMMUNICATIONS IN BUSINESS. AN INTRODUCTION
Recent developments in both the concepts associated with business information systems and the hardware associated with computers have had a significant impact on management education and practice. Now we see further changes as new concepts and new technological developments are applied to the movement of business data over longer distances. This book was written by staff members of the Bell System. The insight that can be gained by a study of the materials in this book will not make a data communications expert of the reader. It will, however, provide students of business administration, present and future managers, and present and future business teachers with a good introduction to the subject. The future manager can gain a better understanding of how data processing and data communications can be merged for management decision making.
