MODEL FOR THE ANALYSIS OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE SYSTEMS
A SIMULATION MODEL IS DESCRIBED WHICH CAN BE USED IN PLANNING AND DEVELOPING A COMMUNITY EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE SYSTEM. THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE SYSTEM MODEL (EMSS II) IS A CLOSED, EVENT-BASED SIMULATION PROGRAMMED IN A VERSION OF FORTRAN. THE MODEL INCLUDES DETECTION, COMMUNICATION, PATIENT ACQUISITION, TRANSPORT, AND TREATMENT FUNCTIONS OF THESE SYSTEMS. /HSL/
