FEASIBILITY STUDY OF BALLISTIC CUTTING OF VEHICLE STURCTURES
THE FEASIBILITY OF USING BALLISTIC DEVICES (SHAPED CHARGES) TO CUT AUTOMOBILE STRUCTURES IN ORDER TO FACILITATE THE REMOVAL OF INJURED AND ENTRAPPED OCCUPANTS IS DETERMINED. THE ROOF STRUCTURES OF MOST AUTOMOBILES ARE REPORTED TO BE SUFFICIENTLY SIMILAR TO ALLOW A SINGLE BALLISTIC KIT TO PROVIDE A LARGE ACCESS, OR EGRESS, AREA TO MOST TRAPPED OCCUPANTS. /AUTHOR/
