SIMPLE AND ECONOMICAL FEED SYSTEM FROM WEIR

The new Weir range of automatic, self-contained feed system modules, suitable for both industrial and shipboard use, brings together in one compact, factory-produced package all the units such as feedwater heaters, deaerators, pumps and controls. There are four basic sizes covering outputs of from 50,000 and 300,000 lb/hr of deaerated, oxygen-free, water. The complete system, with all necessary ancillary plant, can be factory-assembled around the deaerator storage tank into a package which is easily connected into the boiler system. As a result, pipe work may be reduced by up to 75% and there are significant economies in valves, controls and other equipment as well as in the elimination of booster pumps.
