CANADIAN GOOD ROADS MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARDS ARE DISCUSSED IN RELATION TO THE DESIGN AND PREVENTION OF ACCIDENTS, INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE DESIGN FOR PREVENTION OF INJURY. THE ROLE OF THE ROAD, ACCIDENT RATES, ROAD DESIGN, ROAD OPERATIONS, AND ACCIDENT ANALYSIS ARE REVIEWED.
