SKIN PATCH WITH FRONT END LOADER

THE METHOD, MEN, EQUIPMENT AND MATERIAL USED IN PREPARING AND DEVELOPING A PROPER SKIN PATCH ARE DESCRIBED USING THE P-B FRONT END LOADER TRUCK. AFTER PROPER SIGNING HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISHED, THE FLAGMAN OPENS THE NECESSARY NUMBER OF BITUMEN SPRAY NOZZLES LOCATED ON A SPRAY BAR AT THE REAR OF THE TRUCK. HE DIRECTS THE TRUCK DRIVER IN PLACKING THE TACK COAT. AFTER THE TACK COAT IS APPLIED, THE DRIVER DEPOSITS AN AMOUNT OF THE SKIN PATCH MATERIAL AT THE EDGE OF THE AREA TO BE PATCHED. THEN THE MATERIAL IS BACK-DRAGGED WITH THE FRONT-END LOADER ATTACHMENT. DOWN PRESSURE ON THE LOADER BUCKET IS CONTROLLED BY THE DRIVER. CONTINUOUS INSPECTION OF THE SKIN PATCH IS MADE BY THE FLAGMAN.
