INFLUENCE OF AGGREGATE AND GRAIN COMPOSITION ON THE DEFORMABILITY OF ROAD CONCRETES UNDER BENDING STRESS /IN GERMAN/

RESEARCH WAS CARRIED OUT TO DETERMINE DEFORMATION BEHAVIOR AND FAILURE STRAIN OF CONCRETE UNDER VARYING TRANSIENT LOADS, WITH A VIEW TO THE MANUFACTURE OF HIGH-GRADE CONCRETES RELATIVELY EASILY ADAPTABLE TO INCREASING LOADS WITHOUT LOSS OF BENDING STRENGTH. CONCRETES WITH ROUGH- SURFACE AGGREGATES SHOWED LESS REDUCTION IN TENSILE STRENGTH ON STORAGE IN AIR THAN CONCRETES CONTAINING SMOOTH ROUND PARTICLES; ALSO, THE HIGHER THE ELASTICITY MODULUS OF THE AGGREGATES USED, THE LOWER THE FAILURE STRAINS OF THE CONCRETE. IT WAS ALSO FOUND THAT THE INFLUENCE OF THE GRAIN COMPOSITION ON MECHANICAL TECHNOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF CONCRETE IS ONLY SLIGHT IF THE SIEVE SIZE OF THE AGGREGATES IS SUCH THAT THE FRESH CONCRETE CAN BE WORKED AND COMPACTED EASILY. /FG/RRL/
