A PAIR OF BACKHOES ON TELESCOPING, ROTATING HYDRAULIC ARMS EXCAVATE THE SOIL AT THE LOWER END OF A STEEL SHAFT SUSPENDED WITHIN THE CAISSON BY A WINCH CABLE.
