PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE OF EQUIPMENT SUBJECT TO CONTINUOUS DETERIORATION AND STOCHASTIC FAILURE
REPLACEMENT IS INTERPRETED AS A FORM OF PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE OF EQUIPMENT. MATHEMATICAL MODELS ARE DISCUSSED FOR THE FOLLOWING CASES: (1) PREVENTIVE REPLACEMENT MODELS OF DETERIORATING EQUIPMENT, (2) DETERIORATING EQUIPMENT WITH PREVENTIVE REPLACEMENT AND PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE, (3) EQUIPMENT, BOTH DETERIORATING AND FAILING, SUBJECT TO PREVENTIVE REPLACEMENT, AND (4) EQUIPMENT, BOTH DETERIORATING AND FAILING, SUBJECT TO PREVENTIVE REPLACEMENT AND PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE.
