IT IS SHOWN THAT THE EFFECTS OF DE-ICING SALTS HAVE BEEN GREATLY EXAGGERATED AND THAT SOME LOW-COST INHIBITORS ARE VERY EFFECTIVE. EMPHASIS IS PLACED ON THE PART THE AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY SHOULD PLAY IN PROTECTING VEHICLES FROM CORROSION AT THE MANUFACTURING STAGE. /TRRL/
