INFLUENCE OF THE POSITION OF BELT ANCHORAGE POINTS AND POSTURE ON THE EFFICIENCY OF SAFETY BELTS

THE EFFECT OF THE POSITION OF THE BELT ANCHORAGE POINTS, POSTURE - DETERMINED BY BODY SIZE AND SITTING POSITION, RIGIDITY OF THE SEAT AND SLACKNESS OF THE BELT ON THE PROTECTIVE ACTION OF SAFETY BELTS WAS EXAMINED. AFTER VARIOUS PRELIMINARY TESTS, THE BELT FORCES AND DECELERATION LOADS ON VARIOUS ANTHROPOMORPHIC DUMMIES WERE MEASURED AND EVALUATED IN 40 SIMULATED FRONTAL IMPACTS AT SPEEDS OF ABOUT 50 KM/H.
