REACTION RESIN MORTAR AND CONCRETE

REAKTIONSHARZ-MOERTEL UND -BETON

THE AIM IS TO DETERMINE THE MATERIAL PROPERTIES OF JOINT SEALANTS, MORTAR AND CONCRETE BOUND WITH UNSATURATED POLYESTER RESINS, WITH REFERENCE TO THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE RESIN, THE ADMIXTURES AND THE RESIN CONTENT. TEST METHODS ARE TO BE DEVELOPED BY MEANS OF WHICH THE SPECIAL PROPERTIES OF THE REACTION RESIN MORTAR CAN BE ESTABLISHED. LONG TERM BEHAVIOUR UNDER PRACTICAL CONDITIONS IS TO BE EXAMINED FOR CHECKING FIELD OF APPLICATION. THE STUDIES WILL HOPEFULLY LEAD TO THE EVENTUAL USE OF REACTION RESIN MORTAR AND CONCRETE UNDER DEFINED CONDITIONS AS A SUPPORTING STRUCTURAL ELEMENT OR AS A BONDING AGENT. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CLASSIFICATION AND STANDARDISATION OF THIS MATERIAL ARE ALSO TO BE WORKED OUT.
