KONSTRUKTIVE UND WIRTSCHAFTLICHE GESICHTSPUNKTE BEI DER WAHL VON VORSPANNVERFAHREN

ARGUMENTS FOR AND AGAINST THE USE OF SOME PRESTRESSING TECHNIQUES ARE ASSEMBLED FOR FOUR DIFFERENT BASIC BRIDGE TYPES. ALL SYSTEMS ARE SUITABLE FOR STRAIGHT BRIDGES. FOR CURVED BRIDGES METHODS USING OVAL WIRES HAVE CONSTRUCTIONAL ADVANTAGES. WHERE POSSIBLE THIN ROUND WIRES SHOULD BE USED. TENDONS WITH WEDGE SLIP ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR FRAMED BRIDGES AND FOR SHORT TRANSVERSE STRESSING, AS THEY THEN LIE WITHIN THE SLIP RANGE OVER THEIR ENTIRE LENGTH. FOR CONCRETE HINGES ANCHORING UNITS OUTSIDE THE SLOPED EDGES ARE DISADVANTAGEOUS. METHODS INVOLVING SCREW AND NUT TYPE ANCHORAGES ARE NOT TO BE USED WITH TENDONS STRESSED FROM BOTH ENDS.
