COMPARATIVE STUDIES OF WEATHERED JOINT MATERIALS

VERGLEICHSUNTERSUCHUNGEN AN BEWITTERTEN FUGENMASSEN

THE REPORT DESCRIBES THE TESTING OF DIFFERENT JOINT MATERIALS UNDER THE EFFECT OF PRACTICAL, NATURAL DATA (WEATHERING, DEFORMATION) AND COMPARES THE TEST RESULTS WITH THOSE OBTAINED FROM JOINT MATERIALS STORED IN THE STANDARD CLIMATE. THE TESTS ARE EXTENDED TO: MEASURING THE EXPANSION - STRAIN CURVES, CRACK RESISTANCE, AND VISUAL OBSERVATION. TO SIMULATE THE DEFORMATION OF SPECIMENS, TWO INSTRUMENTS WERE USED AND COMPARED ONE WITH THE OTHER. THERE WAS NO SIGNIFICANT RELATIONSHIP FOUND BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT WEATHERING AND DEFORMATION CONDITIONS ON THE ONE HAND, AND THE EXPANSION CHARACTERISTICS OF THE BONDED MATERIALS PRESENTED ON THE OTHER.
