EXPANSION CONTROLLED TESTS WERE CARRIED OUT ON CENTRALLY DRAWN REINFORCED CONCRETE - OR REINFORCED LIGHT CONCRETE GIRDERS - BN 150 AND BN 250, AS WELL AS LBN 150 AND LBN 250 WERE THE CONCRETE GRADES EXAMINED. THE MATHEMATICAL RELATIONSHIPS WHICH EXIST BETWEEN THE REINFORCEMENT (GIRDER DIAMETER D(E) AND DEGREE OF REINFORCEMENT MY), THE STRESS DUE TO FORCE AND THE CRACK FORMATION WERE DEMONSTRATED. DESIGN DIAGRAMS WERE DEVELOPED USING THE THEORETICAL CONSIDERATIONS AND THE TEST RESULTS.
