STUDY OF METHODS AND ACCURACY REQUIREMENTS FOR AXIS AND BRIDGE SETTING OUT, CONTROL OF THE STRUCTURE, AND SETTLEMENT AND DEFORMATION MEASUREMENTS ON STRUCTURES

UNTERSUCHUNG VON METHODEN UND GENAUIGKEITSFORDERUNGEN FUER DIE ACHS- UND BRUECKENABSTECKUNG, DIE BAUWERKSKONTROLLE, SET ZUNGS- UND DEFORMATIONSMESSUNGEN AN KUNSTBAUTEN

THE OBJECTIVE OF THE RESEARCH WORK IS TO INDICATE TO THE PRACTISING ENGINEER CHARGED WITH THE SURVEYING OF RECENT LARGE-SCALE BRIDGE STRUCTURES (VALLEY CROSSINGS, ELEVATED ROADS) METHODS AND MEANS WHICH FULFIL THE TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS OF ACCURACY AT A REASONABLE EXPENSE. SYSTEMATIC STUDIES ARE TO BE MADE OF THE USE OF NEW SURVEYING INSTRUMENTS WHICH SAVE COSTS AND TIME. THE PLANNED RESEARCH IS TO RESULT IN INSTRUCTIONS IN THE FORM OF GUIDELINES AS TO HOW THE WORK CAN BE CARRIED CORRECTLY, QUICKLY AND ECONOMICALLY. THE GUIDELINES CAN EVENTUALLY BE INCLUDED IN THE COLLECTION ON BRIDGES AND CIVIL ENGINEERING AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN PASSED BY BRIDGE AND SURVEYING EXPERTS IN THE COUNTIES. THE PLAN OF WORK IS: 1 - COLLECTION OF EXPERIENCE BASED ON THE EVALUATION OF THE RESULTS OF MEASUREMENTS ON SELECTED STRUCTURES DURING THE EXECUTION OF THE CONSTRUCTION WORK MADE IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE SPONSORS AND CONTRACTORS, AND DRAWING UP OF A REPORT OF THE STUDY; 2 - PREPARATION OF INSTRUCTIONS FOR SURVEYING.
