STUDIES OF OPTIMUM TIME AND PATH SECTIONS TO DETERMINE TRAFFIC FLOW - STAGE 2

UNTERSUCHUNGEN UEBER ZWECKMAESSIGE ZEIT- UND WEGABSCHNITTE ZUR ERFASSUNG DES VERKEHRSABLAUFS (2. STUFE)

IN PART 1 OF THE STUDY TWO SIMPLE MODELS FOR FORECASTING TRAFFIC FLOW ON DIRECTIONAL CARRIAGEWAYS WERE DEVELOPED, BASED ON CONTINUUM THEORY. THIS PROCEDURE WAS CHECKED UP TO A DISTANCE OF NEARLY 3 KILOMETERS. PART 2 IS TO STUDY THE EXTENT TO WHICH THE MODELS CAN BE USED TO SUPPLY INFORMATION OVER LONGER DISTANCES.
