WITH RESPECT TO THE PROPERTIES OF THE SEAL AS A MEANS OF PROVIDING PROTECTION AGAINST DEICING SALTS, THE RESEARCH SHOULD LEAD TO METHODS OF TESTING THE FINISHED SEAL AND THE WET TEMPLATE WHICH ALLOW THE EFFECTIVENESS AND DURABILITY OF THE SEAL TO BE EVALUATED. THE WORK IS TO BE FOCUSED ON EPOXY RESINS WHICH ARE MAINLY USED IN PRACTICE. THE AIM IS ALSO TO SHOW WHETHER OTHER BINDERS CAN BE USED, AND IF AND TO WHAT EXTENT TEST CONDITIONS FOR THESE WOULD HAVE TO BE MODIFIED.
