EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF THE RELATION BETWEEN THE STRENGTH PROPERTIES OF AGGREGATES AND ROAD CONCRETE

EXPERIMENTELLE UNTERSUCHUNG UEBER DEN ZUSAMMENHANG ZWISCHEN DEN FESTIGKEITSEIGENSCHAFTEN DER ZUSCHLAEGE UND DES STRASSENBETONS

TESTS ARE TO BE CARRIED OUT ON A SERIES OF AGGREGATES USED IN CONCRETE ROAD CONSTRUCTION TO DETERMINE WHETHER THE IMPACT DESTRUCTION VALUE, USED TO DETERMINE THE QUALITY OF NATURAL ROCK, IS A SUITABLE TESTING CRITERION, AND ANY CHANGES IN THE PROCEDURE WHICH MIGHT BE NECESSARY. TESTS ARE ALSO TO BE UNDERTAKEN TO DETERMINE THOSE STONES WHICH ARE UNSUITABLE FOR USE IN CONCRETE SURFACINGS.
