TESTS CARRIED OUT ON HIGH-BEARING CAPACITY PILES SEALED WITH GROUTS UNDER HIGH PRESSURE

IN THE CASE OF TENSILE AND COMPRESSION STRESS, PILE FOUNDATIONS BASED ON CEMENTED (GROUTED) OR UNCEMENTED BORED STEEL OR DRIVEN PILES IN SOIL NECESSITATE DRIVING DEPTHS SO DEEP AS TO BE DIFFICULT OR IMPOSSIBLE TO ACHIEVE. IN ADDITION, THE DEEPER THE DRIVING DEPTH THE GREATER THE EXPENDITURE. A METHOD WAS RESEARCHED FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF PILE FOUNDATIONS ON THE BASIS OF STEEL PILES WHICH CAN ABSORB VERY HIGH LEVELS OF TENSILE AND COMPRESSION STRESS AT VERY SHALLOW DRIVING DEPTHS. THOSE TESTS QUOTED HAVE PROVEN THAT, IF REPEATED IN CERTAIN SOIL ZONES, SELECTIVE CEMENTING OR GROUTING SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASES THE BEARING CAPACITY OF PILES COMPARED TO SIMPLE GRAVITY SEALINGS (PRIMARY CEMENTING).
