COMPUTER-AIDED DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION TAKING ACCOUNT OF THE FLEXIBLE MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS IN STEEL BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION

THE RESEARCH IS A CONTRIBUTION TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROGRAM SUITES FOR PROBLEMS OF STEEL BRIDGE ENGINEERING, AND SHOWS THE FEASIBILITY OF USING AN INTERACTIVE CONSTRUCTION POINT WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE DESIGN PROCESS. THE STEPS IN THE DESIGN REALIZED IN THE PROGRAMS COMPRISE THE PREPARATION OF THE GEOMETRIC DESIGN PARAMETERS, THE LINKING OF THESE WITH PROGRAMS FOR STATIC CALCULATION, THE OUTPUT OF CONTROL IMAGES, THE PRODUCTION OF DIAGRAMS AND THE PREPARATION OF PRODUCTION DOCUMENTS. THE POSSIBILITIES OF THE SUITE OF PROGRAMS ARE INDICATED BY TWO EXAMPLES OF A SIMPLE CONSTRUCTION TASK IN STEEL ENGINEERING. ONE IS A STEEL BRIDGE WITH AN ORTHOTROPIC LIGHTWEIGHT STEEL DECK AND AN OPEN CROSS SECTION, AND THE SECOND IS A STEEL BOND STRUCTURE WITH A DECK CONSISTING OF TRANSVERSELY STRESSED PRECAST SLABS.
