THE RELATION BETWEEN THE NATURE OF THE SURFACE, THE BOND AND THE SPLITTING EFFECT OF REINFORCING STEEL UNDER SHORT TERM LOADING

ZUSAMMENHANG ZWISCHEN OBERFLAECHENBESCHAFFENHEIT, VERBUND UND SPRENGWIRKUNG VON BEWEHRUNGSSTAEHLEN UNTER KURZZEITBELASTUNG

ON THE BASIS OF NUMEROUS RESULTS AVAILABLE FROM PULL-OUT TESTS, THE MATHEMATICAL RELATIONS BETWEEN THE LOCAL BOND STRESS AND THE MOVEMENT BETWEEN THE SEAL AND THE CONCRETE IS DETERMINED AND VARIOUS METHODS OF SOLUTION ARE GIVEN FOR THE INTEGRATION OF THE RELEVANT DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS. FURTHERMORE, THE SPATIAL STRESS CONDITION IN THE CONCRETE, WHICH ARISES IN THE REGION OF THE RIBBED REINFORCING BARS UNDER LOADING, WAS STUDIED. THE FINITE ELEMENT METHOD PROVED THE MOST SUITABLE FOR CALCULATION PURPOSES. ON THE BASIS OF THE TESTS, THE BOND BEHAVIOUR OF THE COMMONLY AVAILABLE RIBBED BARS WAS DETERMINED.
