TESTS ON HOOKS AND LOOP CONNECTIONS IN PLATES SUBJECTED TO BENDING STRESS

VERSUCHE ZUR HAKEN- UND SCHLAUFENVERBINDUNG BEI BIEGEBEANSPRUCHTEN PLATTEN

TESTS WERE CARRIED OUT ON REINFORCED CONCRETE SLABS, IN WHICH HOOKS OR LOOPS WERE USED AT LAPS LOCATED IN THE REGIONS OF HIGH BENDING MOMENTS. FROM THE TEST RESULTS FOR THE LAPS WITH HOOKS, THE INFLUENCES OF LAP LENGTHS, HOOK DIAMETER, BAR DIAMETER, REINFORCEMENT PERCENTAGE AND THE EFFECT OF TRANSVERSE REINFORCEMENT ON THE CRACK PROPAGATION AND THE DEFLECTION UNDER DECREASING LOAD WERE DETERMINED, AS WELL AS THE INFLUENCES OF THESE PARAMETERS AT THE FAILURE CONDITION. IN THE CASE OF LOOPS, THE INFLUENCE OF THE SAME PARAMETERS WAS STUDIED AS WELL AS THAT OF THE CONCRETE COVER AND THE ARRANGEMENT OF THE LOOPS TO ONE ANOTHER.
