A COMPARATIVE MULTI-DIMENSIONAL METHOD FOR SIMULATING VERTICAL VIBRATIONS IN ROAD VEHICLES

VERGLEICHENDE MEHRDIMENSIONALE BETRACHTUNGSWEISE BEI DER SIMULATION VERTIKALER FAHRZEUGSCHWINGUNGEN

IN ORDER TO ASSESS POSSIBLE APPLICATIONS AND THE VALUE OF VIBRATION MODELS REQUIRING DIFFERING COMPUTING TIMES, FIVE DIGITAL SIMULATION MODELS WERE COMPARED WHICH ARE SUITABLE FOR INVESTIGATING VERTICAL VIBRATION ON VEHICLES RELATED TO ROAD TESTS. THIS INCLUDED SIMULATING ROAD SURFACE UNEVENNESS FOR SIMULTANEOUS INCITATION OF ALL FOUR WHEEL SUPPORT POINTS ON THE VEHICLE. FURTHER A PROPOSAL IS PUT FORWARD FOR THE EVALUATION OF IRREGULAR VIBRATION VALUES IN RELATION TO DRIVING COMFORT. FINALLY USING THE PROCESSED INFORMATION AS A BASIS, AN OPTIMISATION OF THE EVALUATION OF DAMPING EFFECTS IS CARRIED OUT USING A THREE DIMENSIONAL NON-LINEAR VIBRATION MODEL.
