THE REPORT DESCRIBES A NEW REFUSE RECYCLING PLANT, THE SHREDDING PROCESS: A PROCESS FOR REDUCING MATERIAL INTO SMALL PIECES, WHERE, AT THE SAME TIME, REFUSE IS SEPARATED FROM OTHER MATERIALS AND WHERE THREE MAIN PRODUCTS ARE OBTAINED: PURE SCRAP METAL, NON-METALLIC MATERIALS AND IMPURITIES. A SO CALLED FLAT CRUSHER IS USED TO PRODUCE THE NECESSARY SCRAP. IT IS AVAILABLE IN STATIONARY AND MOBILE UNITS, AND IT COMPRESSES ALL ITEMS OF STEEL TO A MINIMUM. SCRAP IS EASILY STORED THEREFORE, SO THAT THERE IS OPTIMUM UTILIZATION OF THE HAULAGE VEHICLES, AND THE HAULAGE COSTS CAN BE KEPT LOW. THE REPORT INCLUDES A COMPREHENSIVE DESCRIPTION OF THE TECHNICAL PROCEDURE OF SHREDDING AND FLAT CRUSHING.
