THERE ARE SEVERAL REASONS WHICH LEAD TO THE ASSUMPTION THAT WITH VERY RAPID HARDENING CONCRETES THE COMPRESSION STRENGTH FOUND FROM THE SHORT-PERIOD TEST INCREASES MORE RAPIDLY THAN THE CREEP RESISTANCE. TO TEST THIS, 15/60 CM CYLINDERS OF THE CONCRETE, HAVING VERY DIFFERENT HARDENING PATTERN, WERE PREPARED, WHICH, UP TO THE TIME OF TESTING - WHEN THE COMPRESSION STRENGTH HAD ATTAINED 360 KP/SQ CM - WERE SUBJECTED TO A PRESSURE OF 110 KP/SQ CM. THE SHRINKAGE WAS CONFIRMED AT THE TIME ON TEST SPECIMENS OF THE SAME COMPOSITION STORED IN THE SAME WAY.
