THE QUESTION OF INCORPORATING TEST SAMPLES IN DEFINED CURVED CORES (DIAMETER OF THE INTERNAL DRUM TEST RIG = 4.00 M) IS IMPORTANT HERE. STUDIES ARE TO BE CARRIED OUT TO DETERMINE HOW CONCRETE CAN BE PLACED IN THE CURVED CORES IN SUCH A WAY THAT ITS INTERNAL STRUCTURE AND SURFACE CONDITION CORRESPOND TO CONVENTIONAL SURFACING CONCRETE. THE PLAN OF WORK IS AS FOLLOWS: 1 - PRODUCTION OF TWO CONCRETE SAMPLE MIXTURES HAVING GAP-GRADED AGGREGATE AND GRANULOMETRICALLY GRADED MIX DESIGN TO BE TESTED ON THE EXPERIMENTAL SECTION OF ROAD ON THE A 14 AT RHEINBACH: 2 - MANUFACTURE OF TEST SAMPLE SHAPES WHICH CORRESPOND TO THE PRESCRIBED CORE SHAPE; 3 - DEVELOPMENT OF SUITABLE METHODS OF MANUFACTURING AND COMPACTING THE CURVED SAMPLES; 4 - DEVELOPMENT OF METHODS OF PRODUCING DEFINED SURFACE TEXTURES; 5 - DEVELOPMENT OF CRITERIA FOR COMPARING CONCRETES OF THE PRESCRIBED SAMPLE SHAPE AND CONCRETES HAVING THE SAME MIX DESIGN PRODUCED MECHANICALLY AND TAKEN FROM SURFACINGS.
