UNTERSUCHUNGEN ZUR ENTWICKLUNG EINES GEEIGNETEN PRUEFVERFAHRENS BESTIMMUNG DER WIDERSTANDSFAEHIGKEIT VON MINERALSTOFFEN GEGEN FROSTBEANSPRUCHUNG, HIER: VERGLEICHSVERSUCHE NACH DIN 4226 UND DEM IM FORSCHUNGSAUFTRAG VIII, 14/2=9.204 ENTWICKELTEN VERFAHREN DR. LOEFFLER

IN THE PRESENT UNCERTAINTY AS TO THE CRITERIA TO BE USED IN THE ASSESSMENT OF ROCK AND ROAD CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS, IT SEEMS NECESSARY TO DEVELOP A METHOD THAT CAN BE USED IN PRACTICE, FOR ASSESSING WHETHER RESISTANCE TO FROST PROPOSED IN DIN 4226, SHEET 3 IS SUITABLE FOR GENERAL APPLICATION. FOR THIS REASON, COMPARATIVE TESTS WILL BE CARRIED OUT, IN WHICH, IN ADDITION TO THE ACTUAL SPLITTING DUE TO FROST, SYSTEMATIC TESTS TO DETERMINE THE CHANGES IN THE STRUCTURE OF THE SPECIMENS WILL BE UNDERTAKEN. AT FIRST, 10 DIFFERENT TYPES OF MINERAL MATERIAL WILL BE USED, FOR WHICH ASSESSMENT ACCORDING TO THE PRESENT RELEVANT CRITERIA OF WATER ABSORPTION AND SATURATION VALUE IS PARTICULARLY DIFFICULT.
