GEOLOGICALLY, THE ROAD TRAVERSES 3 DISTINCT GROUPS OF SOIL: (1) CALCAREOUS-MARL SYSTEM; (2) PERIDOTITE AND SERPENTINE WHICH RESULT IN VERY UNSTABLE SLOPES REQUIRING THE CONSTRUCTION OF 43 RETAINING WALLS; (3) QUARTZITE, SERPENTINE CONGLOMERATE AND SANDSTONE. DATA ARE ALSO PRESENTED ON THE STRUCTURE OF SURFACING, PARTICLE SIZE DISTRIBUTIONS OBTAINED IN THE AGGREGATE PLANT, ENGINEERING STRUCTURES, EXCAVATIONS, EMBANKMENTS, AND OUTPUT REACHED.
