MEDIDA SIMPLIFICADA Y COMPARATIVA DE LA AGUDEZA VISUAL NOCTURNA

THE POSSIBILITY OF SEEING IN DARKNESS DEPENDS ON THE DEGREE OF LUMINESCENCE OF OBJECTS AND, TO A GREAT EXTENT, ON THE INDIVIDUAL. PEOPLE WITH NORMAL DAILY VISUAL ACUITY CAN EXPERIENCE DIFFICULTIES AT NIGHT. THE AUTHOR PROPOSES A CRITERION FOR NIGHT VISION, WHICH IS EASILY APPLIED; IT HAS BEEN USED FOR THE COMPARATIVE TESTING OF 130 PEOPLE. THE RESULTS HAVE BEEN EXPRESSED GRAPHICALLY OR IN TABULAR FORM TO GIVE THE DISTRIBUTION AS A FUNCTION OF VISUAL ACUITY, DISTANCE AND LIMITING ANGLE OF RESOLUTION.
