APPLICATIONS DE LA MICROSCOPIE ELECTRONIQUE A BALAYAGE

THIS PAPER DEMONSTRATES THE CAPABILITIES OF THE MODERN TECHNIQUE OF SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPY WHICH MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO ANALYSE, TO A SCALE OF LESS THAN A MICRON, THE GROWTH PATTERN OF CRYSTALS. THESE ARE IDENTIFIED BY THEIR MORPHOLOGY AND THEIR ELEMENTARY CHEMICAL ANALYSIS. IN THE FIELD OF HYDRAULIC BINDERS, THE SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPE REVEALS THE NETWORK OF DIFFERENT HYDRATES WHICH ENSURES THE COHESION OF THE HARDENED CEMENT, THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE BINDER PASTE AND THE AGGREGATE, ASBESTOS FIBRES, GLASS FIBRES IN COMPOSITE MATERIALS. THUS IT IS POSSIBLE TO FOLLOW THE VARYING REACTIONS OF A CLINKER FORMATION AND THE HARDENING OF CEMENT, THAT IS, THE LINK BETWEEN CRYSTALLIZATION OF AN INDUSTRIAL PRODUCT AND ITS TECHNOLOGICAL PROPERTIES.
