PRESTRESSING IS USED ONLY IN POST-TENSIONING. THE PERMISSIBLE STRESS VALUES AT ANCHORAGE AND COUPLING POINTS ARE EQUAL TO THE MAXIMUM VALUE REACHED DURING THE FATIGUE TEST UNDER 2.10 POWER 6 CYCLES. TO OPTIMIZE THE ANCHORAGE SYSTEM, HIGH COST TESTS HAVE TO BE PERFORMED. THE PRESTRESSING SYSTEM KA IS USED AS AN EXAMPLE AND BY INCREASING STEP BY STEP THE AMPLITUDE DURING FATIGUE TESTS, THE BEST DESIGN OF ANCHORAGES CAN BE DETERMINED. THIS TEST IS VALID FOR ALL PRESTRESSING SYSTEMS.
