THEORETICAL STUDY OF THE REDISTRIBUTION OF STATICALLY INDETERMINATE EFFECTS OF PRESTRESSED CONCRETE BRIDGES THROUGH LINEAR CREEP

ETUDE THEORIQUE DE LA REDISTRIBUTION DES EFFETS HYPERSTATIQUES DES PONTS EN BETON PRECONTRAINT PAR FLUAGE LINEAIRE

WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE RESEARCH ON THE REDISTRIBUTION OF INTERNAL STRESSES DUE TO DIFFERED PHENOMENA, A MATHEMATICAL MODEL WAS DERIVED, WHICH TAKES INTO ACCOUNT THE INTERDEPENDANCE OF THE REDISTRIBUTION OF INTERNAL STRESSES AND PRESTRESSING LOSSES. THIS MODEL CAN ALSO BE USED TO STUDY THE INFLUENCE OF THE CHOICE OF CREEP LAW. THE CALCULATION ASSUMPTIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS: (1) THE RHEOLOGICAL BEHAVIOUR OF CONCRETE AND ACTIVE STEEL ARE SUPPOSED TO BE LINEAR; THE EQUATION OF THE BEHAVIOUR OF ACTIVE STEEL TAKES INTO ACCOUNT: (A) THE EXISTENCE OF A TENSILE THRESHOLD EQUAL TO APPROXIMATELY 50% OF THE TENSILE STRENGTH BELOW WHICH CREEP AND RELAXATION PHENOMENA ARE NEGLIGIBLE; (B) PLASTICIZATION THROUGH COLD-HAMMERING, WHICH TAKES PLACE DURING PRESTRESSING; (2) THE INFLUENCE OF PASSIVE REINFORCEMENT WAS NOT TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION. THE CONDITIONS IMPOSED MUST EXPRESS: (A) THE EQUALITY BETWEEN THE DEFORMATION RATE OF THE ACTIVE REINFORCEMENT AND THE RATE OF DEFORMATION OF CONCRETE FIBRES AT REINFORCEMENT LEVEL; (B) THE EQUILIBRIUM OF FORCES IN THE SECTION INCLUDING THE MOMENT DUE TO CONCRETE CREEP AND THE RELAXATION OF ACTIVE STEEL.
