THE INFLUENCE OF AN AUSTRIAN FLY ASH ON THE REACTION PROCESSES IN THE CLINKER PHASES OF PORTLAND CEMENTS

THE OBJECT OF THIS STUDY IS TO ESTABLISH THE INFLUENCE OF FLY ASH ON THE HYDRATION PROCESSES OF CEMENT/FLY ASH MIXES. THE DISINTEGRATION OF THE PRINCIPAL MINERAL CONSTITUENTS OF CLINKER CEMENT, C3S, C2S AND C3A, IS PARTICULARLY EXAMINED FOR GIVEN PRECISE REACTION TIMES USING X-RAY METHODS. CEMENT PASTES HAVE BEEN PRODUCED FROM TWO CEMENTS OF DIFFERENT COMPOSITION CONTAINING 30% OF FLY ASH WITH A W/C RATIO OF 0.4.
