THE RESEARCH IS INTENDED TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM. STUDIES ARE TO BE MADE TO SEE HOW, IN ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL PLANNING OBJECTIVES, THE QUALITY OF TRAFFIC FLOW BROUGHT ABOUT BY SIGNALLING TECHNOLOGY CAN BE ESTABLISHED SPATIALLY, TEMPORALLY AND ACCORDING TO JOURNEY PURPOSE. IT IS ALSO INTENDED TO ESTABLISH WHETHER A DEFINED TRAFFIC REGION CAN BE DIVIDED INTO AREAS OF VARIABLE TRAFFIC FLOW QUALITY FOR DIFFERENT PERIODS OF TIME.
