DETAILS ARE GIVEN OF THE THREE ALTERNATIVE ALIGNMENTS CONSIDERED, CONSTRUCTION COSTS, TECHNICAL DATA (LENGTH, DESIGN SPEED, MINIMUM PLANE RADIUS, LONGITUDINAL PROFILE RADIUS, ACCESS ROADS, ETC), THE STRUCTURE OF THE FIRST SECTION OPENED TO TRAFFIC (SUB-BASE CONSISTING OF 0/31,5 GRAVEL-SLAG 20 CM THICK, 0/20 GRAVEL/SLAG ROADBASE 20 CM THICK, ASPHALTIC CONCRETE WEARING COURSE 8 CM THICK CONTAINING PORPHYRY AGGREGATES) AND OF CONSTRUCTION PROBLEMS. THE STRUCTURE OF THE SECOND SECTION IS DIFFERENT FROM THAT OF THE FIRST: 25 CM-THICK SAND/SLAG SUB-BASE, 22 CM-THICK 0/20 GRAVEL/SLAG ROADBASE, 8 CM-THICK 0/14 ASPHALTIC CONCRETE WEARING COURSE CONTAINING PORPHYRY. DETAILS ARE ALSO GIVEN OF THE SAND/SLAG MIX DESIGN FORMULA USED FOR THE ROADBASE, WHICH CONTAINS GYPSONAT AS A CATALYZER.
