THE LONG TERM BEHAVIOUR OF CONCRETES MODIFIED WITH SYNTHETIC RESIN

UNTERSUCHUNGEN ZUM LANGZEITVERHALTEN KUNSTHARZMODIFIZIERTER BETONE

THE AIM IS TO OBTAIN INFORMATION ON THE STILL LARGELY UNKNOWN LONG TERM BEHAVIOUR OF SYNTHETIC RESIN MODIFIED CONCRETE, TAKING ACCOUNT OF THE EFFECTS ON THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF THE CONCRETE, POSSIBLE MODIFICATIONS TO THE STRUCTURE OF THE CONCRETE, AND DURABILITY. COMPARATIVE STUDIES ON CONCRETES WITH DIFFERENT ADMIXTURES (SELECTED DISPERSIONS) ARE INTENDED TO SHOW WHETHER THE EFFECTS OF AGEING IN THE LONG TERM CAN NOTICEABLY AFFECT THE BEHAVIOUR OF SYNTHETIC RESIN CONCRETES. THE CONCRETES WILL BE SUBJECTED TO ENVIRONMENTAL INFLUENCES AND TO MECHANICAL STRESS AND STUDIES OF STRUCTURE IN THE LABORATORY. THE STUDIES ARE PLANNED INITIALLY FOR A PERIOD OF THREE YEARS AND MAY BE EXTENDED.
