HYDROGEOLOGIE

THE AIM OF THE RESEARCH IS TO FIND SOLUTIONS TO DRAINAGE PROBLEMS OF LOWERING OF THE WATER TABLE IN SLOPING CLAYEY-SILTY FORMATIONS. SIMULTANEOUSLY MORE SPECIFIC PROBLEMS WILL BE DEALT WITH: IMPERVIOUSNESS OF PONDS, WATER TABLE FLUCTUATIONS; AN EXPERIMENTAL SITE SET UP IN 1977 HAS FACILITATED THE ANALYSIS OF HYDROGEOLOGICAL AND HYDROLOGICAL CONDITIONS. OBSERVATIONS WILL BE CONTINUED ON A DRAINAGE TRENCH BUILT IN 1978. EXPERIMENTAL SECTIONS WILL BE BUILT WITH PLANTS HAVING A HIGH EVAPOTRANSPIRATION POWER; A BIBLIOGRAPHIC SEARCH WILL BE CONDUCTED OF THE IMPERVIOUSNESS OF THE BOTTOMS OF PONDS, SOME EXPERIMENTS WILL COMPLETE THIS BIBLIOGRAPHY; DATA WILL BE COLLECTED, AND INFORMATION ON THE EVOLUTION OF SUPERIMPOSED WATER TABLES IN THE PARIS REGION WILL BE SUMMARIZED.
