NUCLEAR RADIATION DETECTION

DETECTION DES RAYONNEMENTS NUCLEAIRES

TECHNIQUES BASED ON NUCLEAR RADIATION GIVE RISE TO DETECTION PROBLEMS. THE RESEARCH IS CONCERNED WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF A DETECTING INSTRUMENT SUITED TO THE PARTICULAR CIVIL ENGINEERING APPLICATIONS. DURING 1976 WE WILL BE STUDYING PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE OF NEUTRON GENERATOR TUBES: - DETECTION OF GAMMA RADIATION IN AN APPRECIABLE NEUTRON FLUX; - STABILITY OF NEUTRON PULSED DETECTORS; AT THE SAME TIME WE WILL BE WORKING ON THE FOLLOWING: - UP-DATING OF THE VARIOUS DETECTOR HANDBOOKS; - STUDY OF HE3 DETECTORS; - STUDY OF AN ARRANGEMENT FOR STABILISING THE GAIN OF AN ASSEMBLY OF DETECTORS; - RESEARCH CONCERNING NEW TYPES OF DETECTORS.
