IMPROVEMENT IN ORGANIC ANALYSIS METHODS

PERFECTIONNEMENT DES METHODES D'ANALYSE ORGANIQUE

THIS RESEARCH HAS THE FOLLOWING OBJECTIVES: TO FOLLOW THE GENERAL EVOLUTION IN ANALYTICAL TECHNIQUES LIABLE TO BE APPLIED TO ORGANIC PRODUCTS USED IN CIVIL ENGINEERING. THESE PRODUCTS ARE GENERALLY COMPLEX MIXTURES WHICH GIVE RISE TO SPECIFIC PROBLEMS RARELY STUDIED IN PRESENT DAY LITERATURE; TO ADAPT EXISTING METHODS, DEVELOPED FOR THE STUDY OF OTHER PRODUCTS, TO THE ANALYSIS OF THE ABOVE ORGANIC MIXTURES. IN 1979 IT IS PLANNED: - TO ANALYZE ORGANIC POLLUTANTS IN WATER: - SEPARATION AND PURIFICATION CONDITIONS PRIOR TO THE ANALYSIS OF ORGANO-PHOSPHOROUS PESTICIDES BY CHROMATOGRAPHY IN GASEOUS PHASE; - SPECIFIC BIBLIOGRAPHY ON THE PROPORTIONING OF POLYCYCLIC AROMATIC HYDROCARBONS; - TO ANALYZE BITUMEN MODIFIED WITH POLYMERS BY METHODS OTHER THAN CHROMATOGRAPHY ON PERMEABLE GEL (DISSOLUTIONS OR SELECTIVE PRECIPITATION, INFRA-RED SPECTROMETRY, CHROMATOGRAPHY IN LIQUID PHASE); - TO ANALYZE BINDERS FOR THE REPAIR OF CONCRETE AND, IN PARTICULAR, HARDENERS; THE SEPARATION OF POLAR PRODUCTS (MAINLY POLYAMINES) OF THE LATTER BY CHROMATOGRAPHY WILL BE STUDIED.
